French Country Marché​


The feast of Reveillon on Christmas Eve is especially impressive on the French Riviera and includes all of the region's finest food such as, Caviar, Escargot, Smoked Salmon, Scallops, Turkey and so much more. You can expect to see a spread of tapenade, savory soups and other light fare before Christmas Mass but the real delicacies are brought out after Mass and the celebrations continue straight through the morning hours. This is when you'll see a spread of thirteen desserts placed on a table covered in several layers of table cloths. Everyone present is expected to try each dessert before they leave. Here is where you will find the bûche de Noël, a Yule log shaped cake filled with crème and decorated on top with powdered sugar, marzipan berries, mushrooms and leaves.
